Vancouver’s Downtown Association unveils new walking map

Walking mapA new walking map of downtown Vancouver is now available through Vancouver’s Downtown Association (VDA).

The map features four different walking routes (ranging from one to six miles in length) and an up-to-date list of points of interest, accommodations, retail shops and more.

“I am happy to share walking maps with those who have reception areas, groups coming into our downtown for events, relatives visiting, you name it,” said Lee Rafferty, executive director of the VDA.

Downtown Vancouver’s walking map has changed quite a bit in the last year – a healthy, vital sign of growth, according to Rafferty.

“Our downtown is very busy adding new businesses (two new gift shops, MT. Tabor Brew coming to Ninth Street in May) and having businesses change locations (Ice Cream Renaissance now at 1925 Main Street) – it’s all good,” she said.

The new walking map can be obtained by emailing Rafferty at director@vdausa.org. It will also be a printable feature on the VDA’s website
