Seattle-based general contractor Jackson Dean Construction has begun pre-construction on a new Neighborhood Walmart Market, located at 2201 N Grand Blvd. in Vancouver.
The 5.4-acre site includes plans for a 41,172-square-foot Walmart with a completion date on or before March 24, 2014. The project will create approximately 50 temporary construction jobs.
A spokesperson for Walmart said the Grand Blvd. store will be similar to the Neighborhood Walmart that opened earlier this summer at 7809 N.E. Vancouver Plaza Drive. However, the store on Grand will also include a drive-through pharmacy.
Above ground construction will begin in the coming weeks.
