Additionally, Wolfe wrote that if the port were to break its lease with Tesoro-Savage, such action could lead to “litigation with significant attorney fees and potential damages.” He also warned of a “serious adverse impact on the port’s reputation as a trade partner within the global market.”
The resolutions being contemplated by the city council at Monday night’s meeting involved: (1) whether to formally enter the Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) as an intervenor and (2) whether to approve a draft resolution to publicly oppose the Vancouver Energy Distribution Terminal. The city council voted in favor of both resolutions.
