Mike Bomar named CREDC president

 “Mike Bomar has been diligently building the organizations he’s been involved with and gaining the experience base we believe will serve him well as President of the CREDC,” said CREDC Board Chair Bill Dudley in a press release. “We believe he has both the talent and leadership skills to continue the success of this organization.”

“Mike Bomar was one of those local candidates very much impressed us in the interview process with his understanding of local issues surrounding economic development,” added MacKay Sposito President and Chair of the search committee, Tim Schauer.

Prior to his work with the SWCA, Bomar spent six years at the Building Industry Association of Clark County where he was the director of government affairs. He currently sits on a number of professional and nonprofit boards and committees, including the Clark County Skills Center Advisory Council, Development Engineering Advisory Board, and the WSUV Alumni Advisory Board.

Bomar has a bachelor of arts in political science and communications from the University of Washington and a master of public affairs, applied policy concentration from Washington State University Vancouver.
