Language Fusion named Multicultural Business of the Year

 

The Urban Entrepreneur Network (UEN) recently awarded Olga Lafayette, owner of Vancouver-based Language Fusion, its Multicultural Business of the Year Award.

Language Fusion receives awardSince 2004, Language Fusion has provided translation and interpretation services to corporate, medical, legal, non-profit, NGO and governmental organizations across the United States and Canada. The company currently has a network of more than 3,000 linguists around the World.

 “Olga displays the type of leadership and community service that exemplifies the true meaning of this award and I’m honored to award Language Fusion our award,” said Deena Pierott, founder of the Urban Entrepreneur Network.

Lafayettewas honored at UEN’s Urban Summit 2011 Award Luncheon last month – an event that Pierott said sold out.

“I’m so honored that our community has stepped up to support the event which is our first summit,” said Pierott, adding that it will be an annual event. 

Before starting Language Fusion in 2004, Lafayette worked as an international sales manager at the Manzanita Holding Company in Portland.

Lafayetteimmigrated to the United States from Siberia in 1992.
