Washington-Innovative Services NW, a local nonprofit, recently recognized eight individuals and one foundation during its annual Caring Heart Awards Dinner and Celebration last week at The Heathman Lodge in Vancouver.
Established in 2003, the Caring Heart Award acknowledges groups or individuals who are making a positive impact on the community.
“The goal for the Caring Heart Award is to recognize our honorees and build community with our guests, and is not intended to be primarily a fundraising event for Innovative,” said Dawn Johnston, development director for Innovated Services NW. “With this in mind, we are really pleased to have raised $21,000 for our programs and services.”
This year’s winners include: Ray Hickey Foundation, Jeanne Kojis, Lori Gregory, Betty Sue Morris, Nancy & Mike Gaston, Kay Parks, Meredith Hardin and publisher of the Vancouver Business Journal, John McDonagh.
