Identity Clark County supports multi-use facility to bring pro baseball to Vancouver

Identity Clark County’s (ICC) Board of Directors has voted to support the creation of a multi-use facility on the Clark College campus that would pave the way for Short Season LLC to relocate its Single-A Minor League Baseball team, the Yakima Bears, to Vancouver.

In a press release, ICC said the project would bring immediate construction and development activity to Southwest Washington, in addition to adding a valuable community asset that makes our area more desirable for businesses seeking to grow or relocate here.

ICC also urged Clark County leaders to carefully consider the impact of the project on non-profit organizations, as county commissioners are expected to begin deliberating the creation of an admissions fee ordinance to support the public portion of the project.
