Vancouver-based Greenberry Industrial has been honored as one of the safest companies in the United States by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
The AGC’s 2013 Construction Safety Excellence Awards winners were announced during the organization’s Annual Convention earlier this month. Award winners were selected by a national panel of construction safety professionals from the public, private and nonprofit sectors, including the Department of Defense and the Army Corps of Engineers.
Greenberry captured top honors in the building division, 850,000 to 1.25 million labor hours category.
“There is nothing more important than making sure our employees get home to their families each night,” said Greenberry Industrial President & CEO Jason Pond. “That’s what drives me personally and our company as a whole. We are honored to be recognized by the AGC of America for our efforts.”
The company has implemented a number of measures to promote worker safety, including a pre-work stretching routine and an internal safety training program.
