10 additional plans approved for state’s health exchange

Initially, only four insurance carriers were approved by Kreidler to sell plans in the exchange, and only one of them in Clark County. This lack of choice raised concerns from local officials and companies, including Legacy Health System.

In order to gain approval, Kreidler said CHPW and Kaiser were required to revisit and fix very specific issues identified during the original review process. The 10 newly approved plans now meet the same high standards as those already authorized for the exchange, he added.

The board for the state health exchange plans to vote next week on the plans that have been approved by Kreidler.
