Vancouver Housing Authority donates single home site

The Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) has donated a plot of land to Evergreen Habitat for Humanity.

Ownership of the property, located at 1027 W 39th Street in Vancouver, will officially be transferred over during a title transfer ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16th.

The single-home build site was purchased by the VHA in partnership with the city of Vancouver. The VHA purchased the site using a Neighborhood Stabilization Grant (NSP) – a federal stimulus fund program developed to address foreclosures. The site was contributed by the VHA as a build site for a future Habitat for Humanity home.

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt joins International Alliance of Law Firms

This month, regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt expanded its ability to provide the highest quality legal services to clients around the globe through its admittance to the International Alliance of Law Firms (IALF).

The IALF is a network of mid-sized law firms founded to provide clients with global legal services. The common aim of the alliance is to combine positive legal advice with sound commercial judgment and litigation expertise. The IALF has 58 member firms in 42 countries.

“Schwabe is a perfect fit for our organization,” said Wendy Horn, IALF’s executive director. “It is dynamic with a first-class client base in our key business sectors. The firm matches our growth model: independent firms bound by common quality standards, not by merger.”

Schwabe is the only IALF member in the Pacific Northwest.
