Highlights of the mayor’s speech are expected to include a then-and-now look at Vancouver, a progress report on key 2011 accomplishments, goals for the city in 2012 and a look ahead to the future.
The event is free with a suggested $5 donation at the door to benefit the Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program (ECEAP). Leavitt designated this charity because it offers early learning and after-school programs that help young children prepare for success in school and life. ECEAP services also help families overcome income barriers or other disabilities.
The Kiggins Theatre is located on 1011 Main Street. Seating is limited and RSVPs are required via CityHallRSVP@cityofvancouver.us.
Overflow crowd may watch a live speech broadcast near the theater at North Bank Artists Community Gallery, 1005 Main Street.
