The Community Foundation has provided a $10,000 grant to the recently formed New Day Community Dental Clinic. The nonprofit said the funds will be used to provide dental care for individuals whose dental needs are a barrier to employability.
“Unfortunately, many people who are otherwise well-qualified for livable wage jobs simply can’t get past the interview stage if their teeth are in bad shape,” said Shelley Guinn, New Day executive director. “It is our hope that with this program, we can assist deserving individuals in order to improve their chances for successful gainful employment.”
