Pamplin Media Group’s Adult Standard music format “Sunny 1550: The Music of your Life” is no more. Last week, the station (KKOV) became “AM 1550: Vancouver’s Talk Station.”
The new 24/7 Talk format will feature live programming by Salem Radio Network. In addition, the station will offer long-form and specialty programming from partnered Syndicators.
“This is one of many phases that we have coming up that will bring outstanding national and local talk choices to Portland and Southwest Washington, positively separating us from our competition,”said Dennis Glasgow, program director for AM 860 and AM 1550.
