Royal Oaks Country Club named Facility of the Year by the Oregon Golf Association

Each year, OGA asks for nominations from its 50,000 members throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington for greatness in Golf Courses, Country Clubs, Resorts and other golf facilities. Royal Oaks was recognized this year, the association said, for its commitment to being environmentally conscious and for giving back to the community.

Royal Oaks is the first golf club in the country to deploy GreenDrop Recycling Stations, which reduce landfill waste by users easily self-sorting recyclable and compostable items. This results in a drastic reduction of their environmental footprint while minimizing expenses and being fiscally responsible through sustainable operations.

The club also hosts several annual events that raise funds for local nonprofit organizations. For instance, Royal Oaks has helped to raise more than $150,000 over the past seven years for local military families during the annual American Turkey Shoot Event.
