Partners in Careers to hold August job fair

Local agencies and employers have joined forces to offer a Southwest Washington hiring event open to the general public on Thursday, August 11.

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new Partners in Careers (PIC) office at 3210 Northeast 52nd Street in Vancouver.

“This is our first community event in our new offices,” said Pam Brokaw, PIC’s executive director. “We will be holding more job fairs as well as community programs to help people get back to work and assist families in this tough economy.”

Businesses seeking employees may still register for the job fair. To register as a participating employer, call 360-696-8417.

PIC is an employment program that provides job training, placement and coaching to people on public assistance, refugees, veterans and low income seniors.
