One Hour buys Miller’s

After 60 years, Miller’s Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration has a new name, and new owners.

David and Michelle Adams, owners of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, on March. 1 bought Miller’s in a deal that was in the works for the past four months, and had been discussed for the past two years.

“This is a huge win for us,” said David Adams. “And it was something that (Miller’s owner) Jeff (Miller) wanted to do also.”

The purchase combines Miller’s – the biggest Clark County name in heating and air conditioning, according to Adams, with One Hour, which Adams said is the biggest provider of retro fit heating and air conditioning installations in the county.

“We have the highest number of permits from the county,” he said.

Now known as Miller’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, the new company will employ nearly 20 people and is expected to do close to $3 million in business next year. Adams said the business will focus exclusively on residential service, and plans to renovate the Miller’s headquarters at 6109 N.E. Highway 99 to accommodate walk-in customers as well as service call work.

One Hour Heating is a national franchise with 160 branches. Miller’s One Hour Heating is one of three in the Pacific Northwest.
