People's Community Credit Union earns four-star rating

BauerFinancial, Inc., a Coral Gables, Fla. credit union rating and research firm, this month gave Vancouver-based People's Community Credit Union a four-star "Excellent" rating for financial strength and stability.

The rating is based on the overall financial picture of the credit union. This most recent four-star designation is the 76th consecutive quarter that People's Community Credit Union has earned a recommended rating from the research firm.

"People's Community Credit Union has avoided the lending and underwriting problems that have plagued much of the industry," said Karen Dorway, president of BauerFinancial. "It is clear that the staff … under the direction of Edward Seidenberg, president and CEO, remains diligent in adhering to sound banking principles and standards."

Established in 1952, the credit union has four offices in Battle Ground and Vancouver.
