Rendering of Black Pearl on the Columbia restaurant unveiled

Vancouver-based construction company RSV Building Solutions has released the final architectural renderings for the new Black Pearl on the Columbia restaurant.

The multi-level restaurant is being built on the former Parker House site in Washougal.

"We are extremely excited to showcase just how amazing the Black Pearl on the Columbia will be," said Ron Frederiksen, president of RSV Building Solutions. "This restaurant is sure to be a new icon for the region and we are pleased with how quickly work is progressing."

RSV recently completed all the needed site preparation work and has begun pouring concrete.  In the coming weeks, the eatery's structure will begin to take shape as structural steel is erected.

Additionally, the Black Pearl on the Columbia recently hired Michael Fry as its executive chef.  Fry will oversee the entire kitchen operations, which include menu development, recipe development, and kitchen management.

Community Home Health named to 2010 HomeCare Elite

Community Home Health, a community-based nonprofit agency serving Washington and Oregon, has been named to the 2010 HomeCare Elite – a compilation of the top performing home health agencies in the United States. Now in its fifth year, the HomeCare Elite identifies the top 25 percent of agencies and further highlights the top 100 and top 500 agencies overall. Winners are ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance.

Randy Dalton, Chief Operations Officer for Community Home Health, said the recognition is a testament to the dedication and commitment to excellence shown by staff members and Home Health Director Bob Charves.

"I am so proud to work for such a quality organization with such dedicated professionals," said Dalton. "This is the third year running that our team has attained national recognition."

The 2010 HomeCare Elite is the only performance recognition of its kind in the home health industry.
