Nautilus pursues counterfeiters

Vancouver-based Nautilus filed a lawsuit in federal court against importer and distributor SC Excel Technology Inc. of Montreal. Nautilus obtained an order to enter SC Excel’s premises to seize counterfeit goods and records. The export company admitted to intentionally importing counterfeit Nautilus products and was barred from trading Nautilus and Bowflex products, according to Nautilus.

In connection with this action, Nautilus also filed suit against Fitness Nutrition, alleging trademark, patent and copyright infringement for knowingly selling counterfeit goods and refusing to cease such sales after notice from Nautilus.

Saint-Gobain Crystals earns certification

Saint-Gobain Crystals, a manufacturer of crystal-based technology, was awarded ISO 9001 certification by the International Organization for Standardization.

The designation is an international standard specifying how an organization implements programs that include a quality control system, recordkeeping and continuous product improvement. All three Saint-Gobain Crystals Photonics Division manufacturing locations in the United States were included, including the company’s sapphire substrate and laser crystal fabrication operation in Washougal.

Three projects receive funding in transportation budget

Three Clark County projects were funded in the state’s $7.5 billion transportation budget that passed the House of Representatives April 25. The projects include adding lanes and an interchange at state Route 14 at Camas-Washougal, expanding the interstate 5/state Route 501 Ridgefield interchange and adding lanes to state Route 502 from I-5 to Battle Ground.
