CCU wins marketing awards

Columbia Credit Union won three Credit Union National Association awards for outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry. Columbia won a Diamond Award for email marketing, a Merit Award for branding and corporate identity and a Merit Award for electronic marketing.

Storm water ordinance work group forms

A Vancouver Stakeholder Work Group has formed to foster conversation with the community about stormwater ordinance revisions required in the Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit for Western Washington.

Al Schauer, president and chief executive officer of Vancouver-based MacKay and Sposito, will serve as the group’s facilitator. Other members include Tim Kraft of OTAK, Steve Madsen of the BIA of Clark County, Chad McMurray of Olson Engineering, Eric Golemo of Sturtevant, Golemo and Assoc., Steve Murphy of the Ellsworth Neighborhood Association, Bill Custis of the West Minnehaha Neighborhood Association and Greg Winters of  Washington DOE.

Evergreen Healthcare is employee owned

Vancouver-based Evergreen Healthcare LLC is now 100 percent employee owned – the first long-term care company in the U.S. to have that status, according to the company.

Founded in 1997, Evergreen March 30 completed its transition from private ownership to being owned by an Employee Stock Ownership Plan trust. The transition is an effort to support its health care professionals and bolster retention.

Evergreen Healthcare provides management and consulting services to 53 licensed skilled nursing and five assisted living facilities in Washington, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Utah.
