Because children arrive in various states of distress at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center’s Pediatric Emergency Department, and the environment can sometimes feel overwhelming, the hospital is looking for artistic talent and community spirit to brighten a wall at its interior entrance.
Individuals, groups, art teachers, art students – anyone with talent and time – are invited to submit proposals for a child-oriented mural project in the pediatric ED. Legacy Salmon Creek will cover the cost of supplies, along with a modest stipend. A plaque identifying the artist(s) would also be mounted in the pediatric ED.
Proposals should include a sketch and written description (no more than 250 words) of the mural, along with a rough cost estimate for supplies. A panel of hospital employees will review submissions.
