John Moren

Moren formerly served as program manager for mental health and addictions at the agency. He has a master’s degree of science in education from PACE University and has worked in behavioral health for 11 years. He recently completed his nursing degree.

“I feel so passionate about this agency, the staff and the work we do at CSN,” Moren said. “These past few months as interim, I’ve see things through a slightly different lens, which has only deepened my appreciation. I’m honored and excited to be selected as executive director.”

Established in 2002, CSN is a nonprofit agency that provides outpatient mental health, chemical dependency and supportive housing services to some of the most vulnerable individuals in Clark County.

Tammy BjorkmanTAMMY BJORKMAN

The M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust recently announced that Tammy Bjorkman has joined the administrative staff.

Bjorkman has more than 25 years of experience in administrative support, most recently with Columbia Land Trust in Vancouver.

“We are excited to bring Tammy on board into this new and important role at the trust, as we seek to serve the nonprofit community in the Northwest.” said Steve Moore, executive director of the Murdock Trust.

In addition to assisting the investment fund manager and portfolio management, Bjorkman will assist with the programs and events of the Trust.

Bjorkman is actively involved in community activities, including Vancouver Audubon Society.

Mike PlymaleMIKE PLYMALE

Vancouver CPA Mike Plymale has been reappointed to the Charitable Advisory Council by Secretary of State Kim Wyman.

Under state law, the 16-member council advises the Secretary of State on training and educational needs of charitable organizations and model policies related to governance and administration of these organizations.

Plymale has served on the council since 2010. His CPA practice has focused on the nonprofit sector since 1983.
