Local wineries & restaurants gear up for BG Village event

During the June event, the following local wineries will be paired up with four Battle Ground Village restaurants: Confluence Vineyards & Winery, English Estate Winery, Gougér Cellars & Winery, Heisen House Vineyards, and Rusty Grape Winery. Bone’s Steakhouse, Laurelwood Public House & Brewery, Pasta Gigi’s, and The Coachmen are the participating restaurants.

Event coordinators said they hope to add new wineries every month.

“North county wineries are gaining a notable reputation in the wine community,” said Jae Weber, owner of Confluence Vineyard and Winery. “Portlanders are beginning to realize they can avoid the crowds in the Willamette Valley just by heading 20 minutes north. We are a hidden treasure right in their backyard.”

Tickets for the event can be purchased for $20 at www.bgvillage.com. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the North County Food Bank of Battle Ground.
