Local screen printer selling “The Original Vancouver” t-shirts to benefit Shared Hope International

Instant Imprints, a Vancouver-based embroidery and screen printing shop, is looking to raise money for a good cause while celebrating our local history at the same time.

The company recently created a t-shirt design using the phrase, “Vancouver, WA:  The original Vancouver.” The shirts also feature a “founded 1825” stamp, the year Fort Vancouver was established (Vancouver BC wasn’t Incorporated until 1886).

“We always get people who come in to our shop and ask if we have any t-shirts that say Vancouver, WA on them, so due to popular demand that’s just what we did,” said Instant Imprints owner Daniel Garrison.

Instant Imprints is selling the Vancouver t-shirts for $20 with $10 from each sale being donated to Shared Hope International.

“We decided that this would be a great opportunity to show some Vancouver, Washington pride,” said Garrison. “But more importantly, [it’s] a way to give back to the community and those who need our help.”

Shared Hope International exists to rescue and restore women and children in crisis. They are leaders in a worldwide effort to prevent and eradicate human trafficking and slavery through education and public awareness.

Garrison said his goal is to raise $2,200 in the next three months because “that’s what it takes to help rescue one victim and provide care and healing for one year.”
