Local companies recognized for service

According to AWB, Community Service Award recipients have logged thousands of volunteer hours, providing resources for disabled veterans, donating time and financial support to charitable organizations and hosting community education programs.

“These awards celebrate the dedication of each of these companies to community service,” said AWB president Don Brunell. “They also honor the hard work of their employees, who have made a commitment to giving back in the communities where they work and live.”

Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging also received a Community Service Award, in the category of “Helping People in Need.” Spokane-based Sterling Bank received an award in “Recognizing Volunteerism.”
