Legacy Salmon Creek cardiac rehab program earns national certification

Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center’s cardiovascular rehabilitation program has earned national certification from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

Certification recognizes those programs that are rigorously reviewed by a national board and found to meet strict national standards and guidelines for patient safety and treatment protocols.

Cardiovascular rehabilitation programs are designed to help people with cardiovascular problems (e.g. heart attacks, coronary artery bypass graft surgery, etc.) recover faster and improve their quality of life. Services include clinically monitored exercise, education, counseling and support for patients and their families.

Certified AACVPR programs are recognized as leaders in the field of cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation because they offer the most advanced practices available. AACVPR Program Certification is valid for three years.

Skamania Lodge named “Best of the West”

Skamania Lodge, located in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, was recently named a Best in the West 2011 Winner by Meetings Focus West magazine.

Based on a survey of meeting planners in the Western United States, Western Canada and Mexico, Skamania Lodge was selected as one of the region’s “most outstanding choices for meetings.” The Lodge is one of only two properties that made the list in Washington state, and one of only five properties chosen in the Pacific Northwest.

“We are excited and honored that our conference center was selected by meeting professionals as one of their favorite venues,” said Skamania Lodge General Manager Scott Spann in a press release. “Our staff works hard to make sure businesses and organizations have productive meetings in one of the most beautiful spots in the entire country.”

According to the magazine, facilities were selected based on a number of qualities including, quality of meeting space, guest rooms, guest services and amenities, food and beverage service, the availability of technical equipment and overall value.

The Lodge’s Conference Center offers 23 meeting rooms and more than 22,000 square feet of dedicated meeting, exhibition and banquet space.
