iQ Credit Union to be honored with Children’s Advocacy Award

iQ Credit Union will be presented with a Children’s Advocacy Award next week, in honor of their support for the important work of the Children’s Justice Center (CJC).

iQ has supported CJC for more than ten years. Recently, the company donated $5,000 to help cover the costs of national-level training for staff and to provide health care for child victims who do not have medical coverage.

“Over the years, iQ donations have helped to enhance the possibilities of what we can do for our local children who have been victims of abuse crimes, with their consistent support,” said Mary Blanchette, CJC executive director.

The Children’s’ Justice Center is a nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center, which is responsible for responding to felony-level child abuse crimes in Clark County. The center includes law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, medical providers, mental health providers, social workers and a child forensic interviewer.
