Habitat for Humanity kicks off build season with ceremony

Evergreen Habitat for Humanity kicks off its 2011 build season by breaking ground on the first of three homes to be completed by the Clark County affiliate this year. A ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 16th, at the site of the Cabrera home build in Habitat’s Patten Park development at 9904 Northeast 69th Street in Vancouver.

"This event will provide an opportunity for Habitat supporters to see what we have accomplished so far with the Patten Park development and to bring together the family, community leaders and volunteers that will help us complete the subdivision," said Josh Townsley, executive director of Evergreen Habitat.

The recipients of the home, Cristino Cabrera, Lucrecia Tudela and their four children, will be present at the public event for the unveiling of the build site.

Bank of America is the main sponsor of the event.
