Gougér Cellars Winery received two silver medals and one platinum metal at the San Diego International Wine Competition earlier this month. The wines that received awards are as follows:
Silver – 2009 Blend 128 – Syrah 90 percent, Cabernet Sauvignon 10 percent
Silver – 2009 Blend 829 – Cabernet Sauvignon 90 percent, Syrah 10 percent
Platinum – 2009 Blend 903 – Cabernet Sauvignon 20 percent, Petite Sirah 20 percent, Zinfandel 30 percent, Syrah 30 percent
More than 1,600 wines were entered in this year’s competition.
