Gifts for Our Community Announces grant recipients

Gifts For Our Community (GFOC), a local nonprofit that provides resources for the community in the areas of human services, education and the arts, recently announced its fall 2011 grant recipients.

12 organizations were chosen to receive $2,500 each, for a total of $30,000. Those organizations include:

  • Clark County Juvenile Court Restorative Services (Ace’s Place)
  • Columbia Springs
  • Educational Opportunities for Children and Families
  • ESD 49th Street Day Treatment School
  • Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation
  • VSD Foundation (Lunch Buddies)
  • Free Clinic (Adult Dental)
  • Human Services Council (Volunteer Center)
  • Northwest Children’s Outreach
  • Silver Buckle Ranch
  • Vancouver School of Arts & Academics
  • VSD Lincoln Parent/staff

Funds are raised to distribute to our community through proceeds from Divine Consign, Divine Bites, Divine Again, the Divine Home Tours and generous donations of the GFOC patrons.

“We received many worthy grants and are so amazed at all the wonderful services that being provided by our community organizations. They certainly raise the quality of life for everyone in our community,” said Lee Rafferty, GFOC Board president.
