Call for applicants to City Council
The city of Vancouver is accepting applications for a council seat to be vacated by Mayor-elect Tim Leavitt. Applicants must deliver signed and completed packets, including an application form, resume and State of Washington Public Disclosure Form to the City Manager's office by Friday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m.
Notice of Value sent to homeowners
On Nov. 19, the Clark County Assessor's office sent all property owners a notice of value form reflecting property values as of Jan. 1, 2009. Most owners saw a drop in value between 10 and 15 percent, according to county officials.
Restaurant offers new twist on a holiday classic
The Restaurant at the Historic Reserve has teamed up with the Vancouver's Heritage Players to create "A Kriss-Mad Carol," a comedic twist on the classic Dickens tale. Opening Dec. 1, the play will run for the entire month at E.B. Hamilton Hall. For more information, call 360.906.1101.
