Evergreen Habitat for Humanity joins $9.2 million national home-building effort in 2012

Evergreen Habitat for Humanity has been awarded a $53,987 grant to build one home in Vancouver. The grant provides 55 percent of the cost of construction, and comes from Minneapolis-based Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

“The Thrivent Builds alliance is helping Evergreen Habitat increase the number of families served in our community,” said Josh Townsley, Evergreen’s executive director. “We are so grateful for Thrivent’s support of our efforts to provide decent, affordable homes in partnership with families in need.”
