EVBA raises funds for Scholarships

The East Vancouver Business Association’s (EVBA) 10th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament last month raised $7,500, bringing the 10-year total raised by the group to more than $75,000 for education scholarships.

“Rather than sending our future leaders out of the area for education and having some of them not return, we believe in educating them in Clark County,” said Connie Christianson, EVBA president and HomeStreet Bank vice president and branch manager. “It’s important to the future of our community that our young people receive a quality education and that we keep that educated workforce in the area.”

The event’s title sponsor was Riverview Community Bank and the Vancouver Business Journal was media sponsor.

Additional sponsors included: BodyFit Chiropractic & Massage, Camas Meadows Golf Club, Country Financial, Garrow Equity, Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, HomeStreet Bank, LKQ Keystone, McDonald's of Clark County, Providence Health & Services, Schiller & Company, P.C., Shell at Fisher's Landing, Twin Star Credit Union, Verbena Salon, Walmart and West Coast Bank.
