CRC project earns environmental award

The Columbia River Crossing project’s evaluation of greenhouse gas emissions and climate change won a National Environmental Excellence Award in February.

The award came from the National Association of Environmental Professionals, which cited the project’s “novel method” of assessing environmental impacts and determining lower-impact alternatives in its May 2008 Draft Environmental Impact Statement.

Leaders of the local project will be honored at the NAEP national conference May 4 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
