Clark County Cash Mobs taking business nominations

In search of their next target, Clark County Cash Mobs is accepting business nominations through the weekend from members of the public. Nominated businesses will be voted on next week to determine which locally owned business will be “cash mobbed” later this month.

Based on the popular “Flash Mob” concept, cash mobs invite a group of people to visit a local business en masse and share in a collective spending spree. Participants are asked to spend $10, providing one business owner with their own economic stimulus.

Last month, Clark County Cash Mobs organized an event at the Vancouver Food Cooperative. The two-hour event brought in more than ten times a typical full-day’s revenue, according to the co-op’s owners.
