Clark County accepting nominations for Tourism Awards

For the fifth year, the Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office will be recognizing key individuals, businesses and attractions that have made significant contributions to tourism through the annual Clark County Tourism Awards.

“Tourism is a tremendous economic driver here in Clark County that creates thousands of jobs, and generates millions of dollars in taxes and revenue for local businesses,” said Kim Bennett, president and CEO of the Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office, in a press release. “For this reason, it’s important to honor the individuals and businesses that are dedicated to promoting the region and ensuring that our visitors have a great experience and want to come back again and again.”

The Tourism Ambassador Award recognizes an individual who works directly with visitors. The Outstanding Tourism Professional Award honors an individual who has a gone the extra mile to promote the tourism industry in Clark County. Finally, the Spirit of Tourism Award recognizes an attraction, hotel, venue, event or any other business that has contributed to the economic vitality of the region through attracting tourists and other visitors.
