Clark College’s green facility recognized

Clark College’s Columbia Tech Center has been awarded LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

According to the college, the certification is the result of ongoing work in partnership with LSW Architects and Timothy Buckley of Greenstone Architecture, LEED consultant for the project, which was built by Todd Construction Inc.

With its low-flow fixtures in restrooms, dual flush toilets and landscape irrigation efficiencies, the facility was designed to be 35 percent more efficient than standard buildings, saving an estimated $20,000 in energy costs a year.
