City of Vancouver seeks applicants for Public Facilities District Board

The city of Vancouver is seeking applicants for one vacancy on the Vancouver Public Facilities District (PFD) Board of Directors. The PFD is authorized to acquire, construct, own, remodel, maintain, equip, reequip, repair, finance, and operate one or more “regional centers,” such as the city’s Convention Center.

The current board vacancy will be filled from recommendations from organizations such as the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, local economic development organizations and local labor councils, the city said.

All members serve four-year terms. The term of this position will expire November 30, 2015, with the potential for an additional four-year extension at that time.

Applications must be received in the city manager’s office by 5 p.m., Friday, March 2. Visit the city of Vancouver’s website to apply online.
