New and existing contracts bring the total to nearly $200 million that Christensen will contribute to the Vancouver-Portland area economy, the company said.
“Each vessel built at Christensen affects close to 1,000 households, due to the jobs created at Christensen; in our local supply chain; and throughout the local economy,” said CEO Joe Foggia.
“With the advantage of being vertically integrated, and implementing lean manufacturing over the last couple years, we feel we are producing yachts that are the best quality and value per square foot in the world, for their class,” he added.
