This year’s activities at the event include: Fire Fighter Competition, Chili Cook-off, Children’s Event Area, NW Regional Fire Pipe & Drum Bands, and the Fire Apparatus Display. The chili cook-off features entrants from Vancouver’s fire department Station 7 and the following restaurants: Foody Blues, America’s First Choice, Brickhouse, Goldies BBQ, and Red Lion at the Quay.
Business sponsors of Fire in the Park are: The Washington State Council of Firefighters, The City of Vancouver, iQ Credit Union, Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay, Widmer Brewing Company, America’s First Choice, Northwest Ford Stores, Keller Williams Realty, Bridge Chiropractic, Kohl’s, Comcast and the Vancouver Business Journal.
The event is free and will feature activities from 12 to 9 p.m.
