Tiffany Couch, CEO of Acuity Group in Vancouver, has performed a Business Growth Awards "hat-trick," following a 2007 Start-up award with two consecutive BGA wins.
A self-described "CPA who doesn't do taxes," Acuity Group focuses on investigating fraud, which is known in Couch's business as forensic accounting.
"Basically we are like CSI without the dead bodies," Couch said.
In 2009, Acuity Group moved from a home office to Officer's Row at the Fort Vancouver National Site, testified in their largest trial-to-date and has been invited to speak at the Association of Certified Fraud Examiner's Canadian conference for over 3,000 of their members. And with gross income up 25 percent during a recession, Couch sees a bright future.
"We hope to win again," she said.
