Beaches awards $5,000 grant to visually impaired athletes

The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) recently announced that Beaches Summertime Cruisin’ donated $5,000 to support the association’s sports programs.

“Thank you to all of the staff at Beaches Restaurant and Bar, Cruisin’ sponsors, and the community for making this amazing gift possible,” said NWABA co-founder and Executive Director Billy Henry in a press release.

NWABA is a charitable organization that provides sports opportunities to blind or visually-impaired individuals of all ages and ability levels. The association was founded in 2007 by a group of visually-impaired students and now serves more than 1,000 people throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
