Battle Ground Mayor Lisa Walters will read the State of the City Address at the April 16 City Council meeting. By reading the address into the record at the regular council meeting, the city said it will save the expenses associated with a larger event.
“In this tough economic time, we are scaling back on the State of the City event; we find there are better uses of city resources,” explained Mayor Walters.
The April 16 council meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. and is held in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 109 Southwest 1st Street in Battle Ground.
