SWMC volunteer director tapped for state post

Jeff Woodford, director of Volunteer Services at Southwest Washington Medical Center, has been chosen to serve as vice president of the Washington State Society of Directors of Volunteer Services.

The Society is a state organization representing managers of volunteer service programs from a variety of health care institutions including hospitals. Woodford will serve as vice president for the 2006 term of office, which begins Jan. 1, 2006.

Woodford has been in the volunteer department at SWMC since 1999 and has served as director since 2002. He is a member of the American Society of Directors of Volunteer Services as well as the American Hospital Association.
