Cody Hirn

Vancouver-based engineering and consulting firm Sigma Design recently announced a round of new hires: Cody Hirn as a mechanical engineer; Rachelle Hutchens as an organizational development specialist; Alexia Rostow as a lab technician; and Mike Wilmink as a mechanical engineer.

Hirn holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Washington State University. He will be assisting in the firm’s lab for the summer months building and testing products, and will then move into design and engineering.

Hutchens holds a bachelor of arts in organizational communications with a minor in business administration from Washington State University. In her new role, she will be performing various human resource functions as well as assisting with business development and account management.

Rostow holds a bachelor and master of arts in art History and brings hands-on artistic experience that has helped her transition to the fabrication and assembly of products and tools.

Wilmink will be responsible for research, design and product development. He holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado, and he brings more than 14 years of experience in the automotive, railroad, semi-conductor and aviation industries.

Bryan DentBRYAN DENT

Bryan Dent has been hired by Pacific Continental Bank to serve as a vice president, commercial banking officer.

Dent, a graduate of the University of Oregon and the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, has more than 16 years of commercial banking and lending experience. He has held board positions in Junior Achievement, Rotary and other organizations in Southwest Washington.

Dent will be working from Pacific Continental’s office in Vancouver.
