Morrell named Distinguished Credit Union Professional

Jim Morrell, senior vice president of support services and chief information officer at iQ Credit Union, has been honored by the Washington Credit Union League (WCUL) as the industry's 2010 Distinguished Credit Union Professional.

Administered by the Washington Credit Union Foundation and the WCUL, the Distinguished Credit Union Professional Award recognizes excellence within the Washington credit union system and is open to credit union professionals whose outstanding accomplishments have been achieved during the past three years.

"Jim is a tremendous asset to our institution and to our members," said iQ Credit Union CEO Roger Michaelis. "He has a unique knowledge of business and technology and can integrate them effectively to support credit union-wide business strategies."

Morrell has been with iQ Credit Union for nearly 12 years. He was previously recognized as "Accomplished Under 40" by the Vancouver Business Journal.

 

SHELLY WARNER

Warner was born and raised in Clark County.

 

PHILIP HUNT

Rylander & Associates P.C. is pleased to announce the hiring of Philip Hunt as patent attorney.

Hunt brings experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to wireless communications, motor design, software, web services and more. His clients have included Fortune 500 companies.

Hunt has a master of science in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also served as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy.

 

DR. SALLY SEGEL

The Vancouver Clinic has named Dr. Sally Segel head of its maternal-fetal medicine department.

The clinic said Segal will provide high-risk pregnancy care in her new role, and she encourages her patients to be actively involved in their pregnancies.

Segel currently serves as the perinatal representative for the March of Dimes Vancouver chapter. In 2009, she was recognized as "Top Perinatologist" in Portland Monthly Magazine.

Segel received her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine.
