Maul Foster & Alongi promotes key member
Architectural and environmental consulting firm Maul Foster & Alongi Inc. (MFA) has announced the promotion of Alan Hughes to senior geologist. Hughes, who works out of MFA's Vancouver office, has been with the company for more than eleven years. He currently serves as the project manager for the Pacific Wood Treating cleanup at the Port of Ridgefield.
MFA says Hughes has extensive knowledge of data collection techniques for sediment and groundwater and is widely recognized for his ability to successfully execute efficient environmental investigations at a range of complex industrial and urban sites.
Hughes is a registered geologist in Washington and Oregon.

Biggs Insurance receives industry awards
Bill Biggs and Julie Longoria have recently been named recipients of two prestigious insurance industry awards.
Safeco Insurance awarded Biggs for his long-term commitment to the company with their highest honor – the Award of Excellence. The accolade is based on marketing, business volume and agency relationships.
Longoria was among a select group of insurance agency employees from around the nation to receive the Travelers High Achiever award from Travelers Insurance. The award is designed to recognize agency employees who display superior levels of customer service, demonstrate leadership skills and contribute to the overall success of their agencies.
