Camas resident receives awards at national conference

Ann Matthews, a star leader with Silpada Designs, achieved three top honors at Silpada's National Conference in Kansas City, Mo.

Matthews received the first place "New Business Developer" award after she and her team increased their year-to-year sales by $254,601. She also received the second place award in the "Leadership Developer" and "New Personal Recruit Sales" categories.

Selected out of nearly 32,000 other Silpada Designs independent representatives, Matthews was honored in front of more than 4,500 representatives from across the country at its 2010 National Conference July 22-25.

"Ann is an inspiring and driven leader and we were so happy to give her this award," said Bonnie Kelly, co-founder of Silpada Designs.

KEVIN GOOLEY

In a bid to continue growth in its wealth management division, First Independent Bank announced the hiring of Kevin Gooley as a portfolio manager in the Asset Management Group. 

Gooley most recently worked as a senior research analyst at CTC Consultants in Portland. Prior to that, he worked in New York and London with Citigroup and Standard & Poor's. 

In addition to his 25-year career in financial services, Gooley is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a certification for investment management and financial analysis professionals.

The law firm of Duggan Schlotfeldt & Welch LLC has hired Sharon G. Leslie to work as a paralegal in its litigation department. Leslie received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her law degree from Florida State University College of Law.
