Rotary Club of Vancouver selects president

Kate Benson, senior district executive for the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America, was installed as the 2010-2011 President of the Rotary Club of Vancouver at the club's 89th annual banquet on June 30.

A resident of Camas, Benson first joined the Rotary organization in Canby, Ore. in 2003, transferring to the Rotary Club of Vancouver a year later. "I love the service of the club, as well as the fellowship," she said.

A former Rotary Sergeant-at-Arms, Benson also sits on the club's Foundation board.

In addition to her duties at the Cascade Pacific Council of BSA, she is a volunteer coach for the Vancouver Lake Crew team, composed of participants age 11 to 14.
