International Air & Hospitality Academy and Northwest Renewable Energy Institute name new director of admissions

Laurel Buchanan has been named director of admissions for the International Air & Hospitality Academy and Northwest Renewable Energy Institute of Vancouver.

Buchanan will oversee admissions for the airline, culinary, hospitality and wind energy schools at the two Vancouver campuses. She spent the past 11 years at Everest College of Portland as its director of admissions.

"Ms. Buchanan has a long history of employment in the vocational training industry and brings the experience level we were looking for in admissions. She will be welcomed to our team at a time when we are expanding our recruiting efforts," said Arch Miller, Academy and NW-REI chairman.

While Buchanan was director of admissions at Everest College, the institute said student enrollment grew more than 150 percent.
